Surviving the extreme climate of the Hajar, a sole acacia tree grows between the spartan boulders of Wadi Taween. Located in the Hajar mountains, straddling the emirates of Fujairah and Ras Al Khaimah in the UAE, the wadi is known for the many prehistoric petroglyphs that adorn its rock faces near the village of Taween.
